IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING FEDERAL PACIFIC BRAND BREAKERS AND PANELS:

According to some reports, the failure rate of Federal Pacific breakers are as high as 70 percent.  These panels have been known to start fires because of their high failure rate, so it is important that if you have a Federal Pacific panel to get it replaced as soon as possible.  These panels are common in homes built between 1950-1980 (they were technically discontinued in the late 1970′s.)
